When you choose to sign in with Google, we collect your name and email address solely to identify your account and provide cross-device synchronisation of your preferences. You are not required to sign in to use the core features of the app.
Location Data
Our app accesses your device's precise location (GPS and network-based) to calculate the direction of the Qibla and for prayer-time related features. This data is processed locally on your device to provide these real-time features.
If location permission has been granted, we also store an approximate location accurate to approximately 10km on our servers. This information is used solely to understand the geographic distribution of our users and to provide region-relevant features. It is never shared with third parties.
App Preferences and Settings
If you choose to sign in, your app preferences (such as theme, language, and notification settings) are stored on our servers to allow you to restore them on a new device or after reinstalling the app. If you do not sign in, your preferences are stored locally on your device only.
Notifications and Alarms
To provide you with timely reminders, our app uses exact alarms and notification services. These settings are stored locally on your device and, if you are signed in, backed up to our servers as described above.
Device Information
We collect certain technical information about your device to help us improve the app and respond to support requests. This includes your device model, Android version, app version, and device locale. This information is associated with your account and stored on our servers.
Analytics and Crash Reporting
Our app uses third-party services, including Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, and Firebase Performance Monitoring, to help us improve the app's stability and user experience. These services may collect non-personal information such as:
